Anime NYC to expand iconic convention to 4 days

From the many special guests fans get to meet and greet each year to the fun collaborations that leave people begging for more, Anime NYC has been getting better and better every year. So much so that it doesn’t surprise us that the convention wants to keep the momentum going by adding a fourth day to its weekend full of festivities.

Yes, you read that right! Anime NYC is slated to add a fourth day to its typical three-day weekend event so that fans not only have an extra day to dress up in their very best cosplay but also to enjoy celebrations that may go down on the main stage. This will officially take effect in 2025, with next year's convention dates being August 21 - August 24.

Anime NYC extends convention due to popular demand

With more anime fans than ever, it makes sense why Anime NYC decided to move in this direction. People from all over the world not only want to dress up in their best cosplay but also want to meet and hang out with other people who share the same interests. What’s more, Anime NYC is the best convention to visit if you would like some pretty neat and unique merchandise that isn’t selling anywhere else.

Having all this in mind, we’re more than grateful Anime NYC took the initiative to make this special event accessible for even more fans.

As you can see from the tweet, the main floor will be open to the public, meaning that there will be different and/or extra opportunities for anime fans to interact with various communities. Be it a concert or a panel full of amazing, talented voice actors we know and love, there will be something new to look forward to at future conventions.

The new Thursday date for Anime NYC will be one of the shortest, only being about 4 hours long, but we think that it’ll be a great time for fans to get accustomed to the location or maybe even meet newcomers who can finally attend because of this new date.
