The previous chapter opens up with Chinatsu's father, "Fuyuki Kano." He was stuck in traffic in a taxi and was getting late for his daughter's match. That's when he decided to ditch the taxi and prefer to walk instead.
Just then Taiki arrived by calling him Father-in-law and it was a very funny interaction between them. Mr. Kano didn't want Taiki to call him that. Taiki tells him that he came here to pick him up because he knew that there was traffic.
They both don't want to miss Chinatsu game and have to watch from the start. The feelings toward her and cheering for her are both mutual to Taiki and Mr. Kano.
Meanwhile, Mr. Kano was thinking about how much Chinatsu has changed recently. She used to be very serious but now has become more emotional. This all changed because of the boy who was running right in front of him.
When they arrived, they saw that the match was just about to start. From Chinatsu's POV, she was facing her childhood friend Yumeka. Ever after mission the first basket, Yumeka was able to grab the loose ball and was able to make a basket.
Chinatsu has already started to admire her friend in the game but now, she needs to step up in order to win this match.
