The man gets down on his knees to apologize. Seiko asks why he is after her. The man shows Seiko a text message on his phone, warning her that an orchestrator has contacted him to confront her at the restaurant.
Seiko suspects an accomplice and verifies this after seeing a person with a dark aura walk away. Payase believes the accomplice was in control of the jiangshi. Kashimoto demands that the man call back the accomplice, but he says he can't because he just met him and that they only have a connection to the orchestrator, with whom they've never met.
Seiko then asks if what he said about the accomplice is comparable, to which the man says that communications are sent to everyone, resulting in occasional overlaps with the intended recipients. After Kashimoto requests that he define what he means, the man displays three of the power extraction knives.
Payase, apparently taken aback by the blades' presence, turns to Seiko, who queries why the man owns them. In response to Kashimoto's inquiries about the knives, Seiko says that they came from Asura, a sword stolen five years ago that was known to steal yokai powers and force its owner to commit mass murder.
Bega arrives at Juicy Gyoza Manufactory Dandadan to investigate an allegation of suspicious activity in the eatery. The staff informs him that a man was left alone at the site, while three others left after paying the bill. Bega then turns his head to see Seiko, Payase, and Kashimoto conversing around the corner.
Seiko informs Payase and Kashimoto that she will prioritize her granddaughter's predicament and warns them to remain attentive in light of the perilous circumstances they are facing, to which they respond that they will undertake an inquiry and contact all relevant parties. Bega then approaches them, preparing to question them about the restaurant incident.
