New episodes go live on Thursdays on both Crunchyroll and HIDIVE. Thanks to how the licensing of the rights to the series have been worked out across multiple platforms, the streaming situation for It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? is a little complicated, with different seasons of the series available on different streaming platforms. Four seasons are currently available to stream on Hulu. Seasons two, three and four are available on Crunchyroll with the original Japanese voice track and subtitles in several languages. Season five is releasing on Crunchyroll as part of the 2024 season, but only with French and Russian subtitles.
In addition to streaming new episodes of season five every Thursday, HIDIVE also has all four previous seasons, HIDIVE also has the season OVA episode and the feature-length standalone movie Arrow of the Orion. The common nickname for the series among the fandom is DanMachi, an abbreviation of the full title in Japanese: Danjon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darō ka. The Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? anime series is based on the light novels by Fujino Ōmori, which debuted in 2013 and will reach 20 volumes published in Japan by the end of 2024. The English version of the novel series is published by Yen Press. All nineteen volumes that have been released in Japan as of this writing have been translated into English. Additionally, Yen Press also publishes the manga adaptation of the series, as well as audio versions of the original novel.

Hestia is voiced by Inori Minase in Japanese (The Quintessential Quintuplets, the 2024 remake of Urusei Yatsura) and Luci Christian (Azumanga Daioh, One Piece) in English.
