Ijins's mental health
In the previous chapter, we see the numbers talking about Ijin's mental health. They wanted to know whether he was alright or not.
In his latest mission, he was not able to save the doctor who literally treated Ijin like a family member. 004 also talks about how weak Ijin has gotten because of the peaceful lifestyle.
Even the director was able to see that something feels weird about Ijin but he was acting as usual. The military chief had already told her everything so she was taking care of him today.
They both kind of went on many dates where Ijin was literally clueless that the director was trying to spend some time with him. After that she dropped him home early.
That's where Ijin met with his grandfather and went for a walk. He has already changed to shoes instead of slippers in order to walk for longer. In that way, he can talk with Ijin and he can share his side of the story with him. That's what family members do. This was a really touching moment.
Towards the end of the chapter, we see even 002 visited him and told him how he has become weak by living this peaceful lifestyle. He needs to keep working hard and practice every day in order to not lose touch with his skills.
I think Ijin was clearly able to understand what 002 meant here. In future, his friends or family might get into danger and he might not be able to save them if he loses his skills or becomes too weak.
