After the airing of episode 1122 of the One Piece anime, Crunchyroll has confirmed that the series will be going on hiatus. As of this writing, the One Piece anime is currently scheduled to be on hiatus until April 2025, with the debut of Egghead Arc Part as the series resumes. Every episode of One Piece that was previously aired up to episode 1122, which leads into the hiatus, can be streamed on Crunchyroll. Episodes are also available on Netflix — as of this writing, the most recent episode has not yet aired, but it is scheduled for later this week.

During the anime's hiatus, Toei Animation has announced plans to air a re-cut version of the Fishman Island Arc, the first story arc of the One Piece anime. Titled One Piece Log: Fish-Man Island Saga, this re-cut will trim down the arc to 21 episodes and feature a new opening and ending: "We Go!" by Hiroshi Kitadani and a currently unannounced special guest collaborator, and a new version of "Sailing" by BE:FIRST. While reporting on the hiatus, Crunchyroll has also confirmed plans to steam One Piece Log: Fish-Man Island Saga.

This hiatus corresponds with recent news that the original One Piece manga is also going on a very brief hiatus. IGN reports that there will be one extra week before publication of the next chapter. The next chapter of the One Piece manga is currently scheduled for publication on November 11. This news was also shared on social media directly by
