By Diana Nosa
Every time we try to put Attack on Titan in the past, the anime seems to keep finding its way back to us.
A brand-new film was announced to be on the way for fans who may have been missing the anime for a bit. Granted, the film isn't going to be something that fans haven't seen before, as it will mostly consist of the last few episodes of the anime condensed into one film. However, there will be a handful of new clips and improved animations that are sure to leave you rather impressed.
Check out the official announcement below (via @AniNewsAndFacts):
As mentioned in the tweet, this new film will officially arrive on Friday, Nov. 8. Gizmodo reports the movie will be released in theaters in Japan. While we wait for any news regarding a U.S. release, here's what you can expect from Attack on Titan - The Final Chapter: The Last Attack!
The Last Attack depicts Eren's terrifying decision to wipe out humanity
Eren Yeager has always been in a tough spot, as he is, in many ways, humanity's last hope but also humanity's greatest enemy.
With Eren inheriting the power of the Founding Titan, which gives him the ability to control a great army of Colossal Titans, he is virtually unstoppable. His plan is to erase humanity, starting afresh with his loved ones who he wants to see live happy lives. However, his method is far too cruel for anyone, especially his loved ones, to sit back and watch happen.
It's up to Mikasa Ackerman, Armin Arlert, and what's left of the Survey Corps to stop Eren once and for all. It's much easier said than done, of course, as Eren is far too gone. But if they don't try, then the fate of humanity is sealed with hundreds of millions of lives lost.
How will Eren's friends stop Eren before he goes too far? Is there anyone left who is strong enough to take him down? Or is it time for humanity to accept its fate? All these questions and more will be answered when you tune in to Attack on Titan - The Final Chapter: The Last Attack!
