Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War episode 24 release date and time

Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War will be ending its second Cour in September and the second to last installment will be airing this weekend. The Sternritters are currently fighting the soul reapers and Yhwach will arrive at the Soul King's Palace with cruel intentions.

The upcoming episode will feature Yhwachs plan facing squad zero as he heads towards the Soul King. They will encounter the Soul King Guards and will face against Tenjiro Kirinji first, who was shown previously when he trained Ichigo and Byakuya at the hot springs.

When does Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War episode 23 release?

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War episode 23 is titled "Too Early To Win, Too Late To Know” and was released on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at 11:00 PM in Japan. It is was released on Hulu and on Disney Plus in the U.S. Additionally, the English dubbed version will be released on Hulu as well, four weeks after the Japanese dubbed version.

What happened last in Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War episode 23?

In the previous episode, a zombified Captain Toshiro Hitsugaya was revealed to be the Soul Reapers' opponent. Zombie Toshiro fought against Yumichika and Ikaku and severely wounded them before Captain Mayuri Kurotsichi stepped in. Mayuri Kurotsuchi is the 12th division captain and brought out his intelligence to face Captain Hitsugaya and was able to put Toshiro into a trance.

Captain Kurotsuchi was able to fight zombie Toshiro by using his own drug that was able to send Toshiro into the past if he fulfilled the condition of killing Kurotsichi at any time while the drug was in effect. When Toshiro entered his tenth time loop, he felt the special effects of the drug and became immobilized. Mayuri Kurotsichi then injected him with another solution that slowly turned Captain Hitsugaya into another color. It was revealed that Mayuri Kurotsichi had been developing his own drug to make certain types of zombies that he tested out on two other captains who had fallen during their battle with the Quincy James.

Elsewhere on the battlefield, the Soul Reapers were still fighting the other Sternritter. Byakuya fought and defeated three Sternritters with his Bankai. It was then revealed that there is a Sternritter "L" Pepe that stood for "The Love".

Pepe used his power of love to shift the souls of people and he was able to control them. He took control over a lieutenant and had the ability to take over Zanpakuto as they contained souls as well. Captain Mayuri was able to help Byakuya by using his new Zombie Unit to counter Pepe. The zombies were incapable of feeling love and defeated Pepe. The episode ended with Yhwach, Haschwalth, and Uryu landing in the Soul King's palace and heading towards another battle.
