Yes, Blood of Zeus season 3 is happening! (What we can expect to see)

The creators of Netflix's Blood of Zeus are already discussing their hopes and dreams for the anime's third season. From the sound of it, fans are definitely in for a rich and fulfilling season full of creative exploration, amazing lore, and, most importantly, a passion that can be seen in every single episode.

What's On Netflix recently sat down with creators Charley and Vlas Parlapanides and one of the first things that the creators wanted to make clear is that the third season will not take as long to arrive as the sophomore season did since the circumstances are much different now with the show already garnering tons of popularity and being off its feet.

"We won’t have to go through the whole rigmarole. Season three will not take that long," Charley expressed. "It’ll take about a year, it won’t take another three and a half years. We want everyone to watch and tell their friends, parents, cousins, and everyone else to watch. Because if we get a certain viewership number, Netflix will green-light our Medusa project."

We don't have an official date for season 3, as the sophomore season just released. However, we're hopeful for a 2025 release because of Charley's statement above. Until then, here is what else Blood of Zeus's creators teased about the upcoming season.

Charley and Vlas Parlapanides hint at season 3 being like Game of Thrones

With the subject matter being Greek gods, there are many places the story of Blood of Zeus has gone and can go. In regards to what's next, Charley and Vlas believe that there will be elements of more mature material that may feel familiar to those who love shows like Game of Thrones.

"[Season 3]'s a freight train. It’s almost like Game of Thrones, where anything and everything can happen," Vlas explained to What's On Netflix. "You’ll say, 'Oh my god, I can’t believe they just took it there!' Then we ratchet up another whole level, and we continue the journey between the two brothers and kind of try to close the divide between the two. We can’t wait for everyone to see where it ends up. It’s very cool and just an epic season."

Charley shares the same sentiments as Vlas, as this creator says that some episodes in the third season are so good that he can't help but rewatch them over and over!

"I will also say some amazing episodes are just great adventure action episodes in season three," Charley added. "There are two episodes that I love. I keep re-watching that I think people will love. So, there’ll be a lot of action and destruction and chaos and story and character development. But season three will be a freight train."

Like many fans, we can't wait to experience this "freight train" ourselves. We'll have to wait a little longer to know more about what's on the way, but if it's anything like what Charley and Vlas Parlapanides have teased thus far, then we know that we're due for an amazing season that will be well worth the wait.
