Blue Lock manga is at its peak point with the latest manga release, featuring a power struggle between Rin Itoshi, Michael Kaiser and Isagi Yoichi. The PXG and Bastard Munchen will determine the final victor and most valuable Blue Lock candidate.

PXG vs Bastard Munchen: Blue Lock project’s most anticipated matchup

After PXG took a 1-0 lead with Shidou Ryusei's goal, Yoichi, with the exponential mid-game evolution, made the score even with his new “two-gun volley” shot. Meanwhile, Kaiser, who's been watching teammate/rival Yoichi’s back for a long time, had an ego transformation in the latest chapters.

After the game-tying goal, Noel Noa, Blue Lock Universe's top striker and Munchen’s manager, arranged the team according to Isagi’s playstyle. Kaiser, despite having all odds against him, found a way and made the spin his alley, scoring a stunning goal and taking the 2-1 lead. The Manga also flashbacked the dark and struggling childhood of Kaiser which helped him to evolve his ego.

Blue Lock chapter 274 recap and thoughts

Its latest chapter 274, titled “Failure of a Rival”, was released on September 3, featuring Rin’s evolution that puts him in the elite group of professional players. His tongue-outing was a display of deep concentration which the top-level sports athletes do as a way to relaxing themselves.

Although names weren’t mentioned, the author drew illustrations of NBA legend Michael Jordan and Argentinian football legend Deigo Maradona, linking Rin’s quality to the world’s greatest. Despite Yoichi becoming “The Genious of Adaptability,” he still came short of Rin, who’s truly become the “Blue Luck No. 1”, acknowledged by Noa itself.

Rin evolved as Blue Lock No. 1

Blue Lock manga had a flashback of Rin’s past, in which he and his genius brother, Sae Itoshi, a Japan U-20 representative,  were on good terms. From an early age, Rin found the antagonist characters fascinating and wished to “fight someone amazing, destroy him and die like that”.

He found Yoichi in the Blue Lock chamber, and, over time, a rivalry formed between the two of the best “unpolished gems” of the project. While Yoichi equalized the score and Kaiser took the lead, Rin finally decided to steal the show, by beating Bastard Munchen both goal scorers Michael Kaiser and Isagi Yoichi, and dethroned Isagi from their rivalness.

"“You are no longer my rival,”  "

Rin said in Chapter 274.

The Chapter ended with a cliffhanger where Charles Chevalier lobbed a beautiful pass which was ideal for both Shidou and Rin, prompting a 2-2 opportunity. Now the Only wait is who’ll be the goal scorer or the hero, Yoichi, somehow save the day.
