With spring 2024 coming to an end soon, we have to start saying our goodbyes to this season's anime titles that carried us through it. One of these series is none other than Grandpa and Grandma Turn Young Again, also known as the anime that served as a nice reminder that true love lasts well into your older years when your hair is gray and you're hard of hearing.

As Crunchyroll reports, the anime officially comes to an end this week. To give fans time to prepare, we have an official teaser for what's to come in the season finale slated to arrive on Sunday, June 16.

Between the somber, sentimental feelings this finale preview is making us feel and the beautiful words shared between this lovely married couple, we can already tell we're going to be shedding tons of tears no matter how it ends.

Whether you've been watching this anime from the start or you just heard of this title for the very first time, you have a few more days to brace for the impact of this anime. And what better way to do that than by watching from the first episode? Here's a brief rundown on the story of Grandpa and Grandma Turn Young Again!

Grandpa and Grandma Turn Young Again is a lesson to not take time for granted

Upon coming across a mysterious apple, a married couple, Shozo and Ine, are surprised to find that their bodies have rewound the clock and have become far more youthful. With this second chance at life, they decide to take advantage of this blessing by doing things they've always wanted to do but couldn't because of their frail bodies and limited time.

Be it going on dates they've always wanted to go on or just making trips to places they've been dying to visit, Shozo and Ine are more than excited to do it all.

But everything comes at a price!

Since the origins of the apple are unknown, the side effects are unknown, too. An example of when things seem to be taking a turn for the worst is Ine's memory reverting back to when she was younger, which means whatever memories she's made as an elderly woman are in jeopardy. What's more, because no one knows how long the effect of the apple is, Ine and Shozo could also risk being trapped in their youthful bodies and minds forever. Is this a blessing or a curse, though?

Take a trip down memory lane by watch the trailer for this 2024 anime below.

What does the future hold in store for Shozo and Ine? Is it bright and merry? Or is it bleak? Questions like these will be answered soon with the finale on the horizon, so don't forget to stream every episode of Grandpa and Grandma Turn Young Again to catch up on what you've missed thus far and stream the anticipated conclusion on Sunday, June 16, on Crunchyroll!
