In the world of Demon Slayer, strength is something everyone must possess. If not, whoever the person is that thinks that strength isn't necessary risks their lives every single day, as they won't have what it takes to protect themselves or those around them. Fortunately, there are special individuals in the Demon Slayer universe who you can trust every single time to have the power to be able to withstand even the strongest of enemies.

These special individuals are better known as the Hashira. But who among them have the most strength?

Hashira ranked from strongest to weakest

Whether it's because of their age that comes with more experience or because they are simply a force to be reckoned with in the world of demons, every single Hashira member is vastly different from one another. Each possesses skills and attributes that can either help or hinder them in a battle.

No matter the person, however, being a Hashira is the highest honor in the Demon Slayer Corps and is only given to those who can handle such a title.

Without further ado, here are the Hashira members ranked from strongest to weakest!

1. Gyomei Himejima

When everyone refers to Gyomei Himejima as "the strongest," this isn't to be taken lightly.

The Stone Hashira is one of the most formidable soldiers the Demon Slayer Corps has ever seen and it's not because his age symbolizes his experience in battle. But mostly because he is one of the individuals who Kagaya Ubuyashiki entrusted to be able to land a blow on Muzan Kibutsuji to wipe his head clean. This doesn't only speak to Gyomei's reliability but also his consistency in being one of the Hashira members who will always be strong enough to rise to the occasion.

Gyomei's training also speaks to his power, as doing things like moving an entire boulder and withstanding freezing cold water are things that people not only need physical fortitude but mental fortitude as well.

2. Sanemi Shinazugawa

Although we didn't get to see Sanemi Shinazugawa in all his glory during the Hashira Traning Arc, we can tell he is someone who throws himself into battle constantly to push himself to the next level.

As we've seen this season, Sanemi is someone who looks forward to sparring with his fellow Hashira peers because he loves the art of battle. Fighting against his Hashira peers not only gives Sanemi a way to gauge how strong he is but also to learn a few things about how he can utilize what he's learned from others in his next battle. Someone who appreciates sparring this much is someone who we know amongst the strongest Hashira we have.

Next to Gyomei's training, Sanemi's training was one of the most grueling because, besides Tanjiro, no one could land a hit on him. Be it because of intimidation or swiftness, not being able to be touched is a flex that only the strongest can say they can accomplish.

3. Giyu Tomioka

Ever since season 1, we've seen examples of Giyu Tomioka dominating both on the battlefield and during fights where the stakes aren't as high. Each time, we've been very impressed by his ability to stay calm and strike.

During Hashira Training Arc, Giyu was dealing with his own inner demons. But when he finally shook off the regret and walked toward his purpose, you could see that he was far more confident, fighting with not as much weight on his shoulders. This can be seen during his brief sparring with Sanemi where Giyu was pretty evenly matched against the Wind Hashira, keeping up with Sanemi with every swing.

Had Tanjiro not interrupted the training between Giyu and Sanemi, we may have a better guess at who is stronger between the two Hashira members. For now, though, we can say that between Giyu and Sanemi, their prowess is equal.

4. Obanai Iguro

Obanai Iguro is another Hashira member who we put in the same playing field as Giyu and Sanemi. Although he is yet another person who we have yet to see give it his all against enemies that threaten the safety of his loved ones, we can assume that his ability to go toe-to-toe with Sanemi is more than enough proof that his strength is above average.

In addition to his sparring with Sanemi, Obanai is someone who seems to be reliable enough to go on missions and return in one piece. This can be seen at the start of the Hashira Training Arc where, along with Sanemi, Obanai pursues after a demon with the full intent to kill. If not for the Infinity Castle, it's safe to say that Obanai would've easily stopped the demon in his tracks.

Regarding his training, Obanai wasn't the hardest of them all, but he was definitely the one we feel Tanjiro learned the most. The training called for agility but also maximum focus to be able to kill demons while protecting others. Being able to juggle this on the regular is a sign of a true warrior.

5. Muichiro Tokito

Muichiro Tokito may be very young, but his age isn't an indicator of how much of a problem this young boy is on the battlefield.

Muichiro's potential is incredible. So much so that his elder Hashira members Sanemi and Obanai saw it fit to go against the young demon slayer two-on-one. They teamed up on him not to haze him or scare him into submission but because they knew that Muichiro could handle it. Granted, Sanemi and Obanai didn't go all out, but there is something to be said about someone as young as Muichiro earning the respect of the strongest members.

While we don't believe Muichiro's training is a complete reflection of Muichiro's abilities, his training was fairly easier than others. This could've been done to take it easy on the Demon Slayer Corps' soldiers but, in some way, this may be because he needs more experience. Either way, though, Muichiro is not one to mess with.

6. Mitsuri Kanroji

Albeit Mitsuri Kanroji's training was more comedy than actual training, we don't see her as someone who should be taken lightly. In fact, it's always the underdogs that often show up and dominate, surprising everyone who underestimates them.

Mitsuri is, by and large, someone who has phenomenal potential, as she is one of the only Hashira members who has woken up her mark. She doesn't know how to control it just yet; no one does. Even so, once Mitsuri unlocks the champion inside of her, we know that she will become a force to be reckoned with no matter what.

It's also important to note that Mitsuri was trained under Rengoku, the late Flame Hashira. This is a necessary fact that's crucial to consider because it means that everyone around Mitsuri can see her potential. It truly is but a matter of time before we see how the Love Hashira puts the strongest of demons to shame.

7. Shinobu Kocho

Shinobu Kocho is the most mysterious Hashira member we have. In terms of her strength, we truly know next to nothing about the Insect Hashira, as her expertise isn't really in fighting. Rather, it's in medicine and other forms of science.

Because of her amazing talent in science, we didn't quite see her utilized for training in the Hashira Training Arc. Instead, Shinobu was entrusted by Kagaya to work with Lady Tamayo to study how Nezuko was able to overcome the sun and other important tasks imperative to the defeat of Muzan. Although it's not necessarily battling, Shinobu is certainly the most intelligent of all the Hashira members, a skill that comes in handy when it comes to strategy and planning.

Don't be fooled, though! Shinobu is still a Hashira, meaning she does possess some impressive fighting skills to be able to fend herself and other innocent people from the hands of demons. Counting Shinobu out isn't something you want to do, especially now that she (and her fellow Hashira members) are in the Infinity Castle about to fight for their lives.

Perhaps our list will change once we see how these Hashira members fend for themselves in the Infinity Castle. Perhaps not. Even still, don't ever forget that the Hashira are at the apex of the Demon Slayer Corps meaning every one of them is strong in their own right!

No matter who they are, the Hashira are not to be underestimated.
