To absolutely no one's surprise, Haikyu!! The Dumpster Battle is making waves at the box office!

The Hollywood Reporter shares that the anime film is exceedingly popular all over the world, especially in China where the film is reported to have made a large profit at the box office. As per the media outlet, the title brought in a whopping $9.8 million during its debut weekend. This isn't a surprise to us since the anime is very popular around the world. However, Haikyu!! managing to be amongst the top films of China's box office release this year is a very awesome feat that speaks positive things for not just this anime title's future but for many more to come.

During the 2024 film, Karasuno and Nekoma finally face off as rivals on Japan's acclaimed volleyball stage!

A showoff between the two volleyball teams was always fated to happen but never did. This is because neither team was skilled enough to go to Japan's very best tournaments. That is until now.

With Karasuno polishing themselves to be a formidable team and with Nekoma being as sly as ever, understanding how to make aggressive but effective plays as a team, the showdown between the teams is everything but boring. Every player desires to be on the court, showing their skills to the world. And now that they get to the place they've been vying for quite some time, there is nothing holding them back.

Nekoma gives it their very best. So much so that they even get their most timid player, Kenma, out of his shell. However, Karasuno, with their many parts that have created an unstoppable machine, are just too good and, ultimately, secures the victory.

With Karasuno moving on to the next stage of Japan's quarterfinals, they are off to play against yet another team that will dictate whether they will go to the final stages of the tournament. The teams that will play in the decisive quarterfinals and finals include Karasuno, Kamomedai, Fukurodani, Inubushi Higashi, and Ichibayashi.
