One Piece  episode 1085 recap

In the previous episode, One Piece closed out its Wano arc with the Straw Hats leaving Wano and bidding their farewell to Momonosuke, Kin'emon, and Yamato. The episode focused on the final departure of the Straw hats and the show recapped some of the moments of the long arc of Wano. The show recounted moments of the Akazaya Nine enacting their revenge for Kozuki Oden.

The previous episode also gave a flashback of the first time Luffy and Momonsuke met and their bickering that led to their brotherhood. While racing to the coast, Momonosuke and Kine'mon are angry that Luffy plans on leaving without saying goodbye and Yamato reveals that she intends to stay in Wano. Yamato wants to follow Kozuki Oden and is motivated the explore the rest of the land of Wano before venturing outside.

On the coast, Luffy and the crew prepare to take off. The Straw hats separate from Trafalgar Law and Kid as they head off in different directions. Luffy then hears Momonosuke barge in with Kine'mon and Yamato. Momonosuke dives towards Luffy in anger which leaves Luffy confused. Momonosuke breaks down in tears as he begs Luffy not to leave and it shows how Momonosuke is still a child.

Momnosuke feels close to Luffy and is dreading the final goodbye and Luffy stresses that they will meet again. It is time for Momonosuke to lead the land of Wano and Luffy instructs Usopp to give him a jolly roger of the Straw Hats. Luffy gives the Straw hat flag to Momonosuke to wave in order to keep the land safe from outsiders. The Flag is a symbol of the Straw Hats' protection of the land.

The Straw Hats leave the land of Wano and Momonosuke informs Kine'mon of his ambition to surpass Kozuki Oden. The Straw Hat crew set their sights on a port in Hakumai to lift their ship but Luffy and Law are mocked by Kid for taking the safe route. Luffy and Law then Join Kid and direct their ship towards the waterfall and the show then shifts back to Wano as they depict the last moments of Orochi who was covered in flames and Hiyori honors her late family as she finishes Orochi off.
