Mashle: Magic and Muscles season 2 episode 6 recap
In the previous episode, the life crystal round of the divine visionary exam continues as Macaron encounters the two members of Carpaccio's team. Macaron defeats them easily, eliminating them swiftly and ending the round.
Dot, Mash, and Finn pass the second round back at the coliseum, with the next round set to start shortly. Macaron confronts Mash as Wahlberg has a conversation with Kaldo, the head of the magic administration and a divine visionary. Kaldo sees that Wahlberg has an affinity for Mash but doubts his abilities. Macaron sees Orter and warns him to not get involved in his fight with Mash.
The episode cuts to Mash and his group as they are anxiously waiting for the next round. Finn is baffled that Mash is unaffected by the exam and then Kaldo enters the room. Kaldo requests Mash to play a game with him which was met with refusal at first. Kaldo then offers to make Mash a visionary if he wins the game as he wants to assess Mash's true abilities.
Mash subsequently accepts to take part in the game and Kaldo informs him that the game is: "You look, you lose." Kaldo engraves a circle around Mash and announces his rules of the game where Mash has to look in the direction away from where Kaldo is pointing. Mash impresses with passing the first couple rounds of the game until he ultimately loses, but Kaldo lets it slide and determines it a draw.
Kaldo acknowledges Mash's raw strength but doubts that Mash can currently topple Macaron. Kaldo leaves and comes to the realization that Mash is special and hopes that he succeeds in the exam. The announcers of the exam explain the third round which are one-on-one battles between magic students. The match will end in a forfeit or if the opponent is unable to continue. Mash is matched up against Macaron.
Before the two face off, they briefly fight in a food battle as Mash enjoys a creampuff and Macaron takes out his tartar sauce. They begin their fight as Macaron attempts to send Mash to the wall and Mash is able to regain his footing and performs "Spine Magic" on Macaron. Macaron seemed unaffected as the two continue their battle as the episode ends. We'll be seeing the fallout of this battle, no doubt, in the new episode of Mashle: Magic and Muscles season 2.
