Kimi Ni Todoke season 3 is making hearts flutter! What to know about the new installment

After years of waiting for Kimi Ni Todoke's continuation, anime fans are finally getting their deepest wishes answered, as Netflix is set to release the shojo anime's third season on Thursday, August 1!

The romance title has been stealing our hearts ever since we saw Sawako Kuronuma on our screens for the first time back in 2009. Over a decade later, we still find ourselves captivated by Sawako's wholesome and pure love story involving a boy who loves her despite her looks that may put off others. When we think of all the love these two have for each other, it's nearly impossible not to want to go out and find a love similar to theirs.

Sawako's love story proves that love goes beyond the outer appearance; so long as two people are willing to try, anything is possible.

Fortunately for us and many fans out there, we aren't done learning love lessons just yet, as the third season is slated to teach us even more about dating and relationships. However, this time, love is not just in the air for Sawako but her best friends as well!

Kimi Ni Todoke season 3 has more than enough love to go around for everyone

At the heart of season 3 is the telling of the start of Sawako's relationship with her new boyfriend, Shouta Kazehaya.

The two lovebirds are still fresh in their relationship, meaning they have a lot to learn about relationship milestones like holding hands, going on dates, and, of course, their first very kiss. They'll have a lot of learning curves to overcome, but so long as they continue to put love first, there's nothing they won't be able to deal with.

As for Sawako's friends, love has always been all around them. But finally, they're able to take full hold of love with open arms. The circumstances in these relationships are somewhat trickier than Sawako's. Nevertheless, the love is there and it's strong.
