Kinokuni feels pity for the Humanoid Shuuki; she had to push them to their limits, but it was necessary. She asserts that the three subjects' emergence has brought about changes, but they continue to reject the Shuuki's requests to visit their families.

Mira tries to protest against this treatment, while Ren and Kinokuni state that Shuuki require constant therapy and that people’s presence has to be hazardous for them. Fubuki questioned the concealment of such information, to which Ren responded that she took responsibility for it. Kyouka then discloses a revelation that even the Anti-Demon Corps was unaware of—the agency's covert testing of Shuuki as weapons on abandoned islands.

Ren decides to challenge Kyouka by reminding her that she used Shuuki as a weapon. Even as Kyouka persists in inquiring about the details of everything she's heard, Ren and Kinokuni skillfully sidestep each inquiry. When Kyouka asks Ren to pay Naon, Koko, and other Shuuki, he only suggests that he should try to improve his relations with the other chiefs; some of them are angered while Mira scowled.
