From songs like $ilkMoney's "Potna Dem" and Fujii Kaze's "Shinunoga E-Wa" to Ricky Montgomery's "Lover Man" and Usher's "Hey Daddy (Daddy's Home)," once the anime community takes hold of a song, the edits start pouring in and never cease until the next trend.

Having your song become popular in the anime community is a feat that only the most fortunate of musical artists have achieved. Even fewer are the artists who continuously find their songs involved in everything the community does. Megan Thee Stallion is, of course, one of these artists, but it's not only because she's a big anime fan herself but because she never fails to give the anime community a bop or two to make really cool edits to.

And it seems that the Stallion has struck gold once more!

Why you should be listening to "Mamushi" on Megan Thee Stallion's new album, MEGAN

A part of Megan Thee Stallion's latest album, MEGAN, is an American-Japanese fusion song titled "Mamushi." The song is performed by both Megan and Japanese artist Yuki Chiba, and while the two have a nice flow on their solo raps, it's their back-and-forth dialogue during the chorus that is driving fans crazy.

Like what you hear? Here's the English/Japanese translation of the chorus of the song below!

"I get money, I'm a star
Star, star, star, star, star, star
I get monеy, I'm a star
Star, star, star, star, star, star
お金 稼ぐ 俺らは スター
お金 稼ぐ 私は スター
スター、スター、スター、スター、キラキラ
私は スター"

"Mamushi"

As you can tell, it's a very catchy song. So much so that the anime community didn't waste any time putting together edits featuring characters from popular anime shows like Jujutsu Kaisen and Demon Slayer.

Here's one of our favorite anime edits to the song via @camhatesyoutoo. Another one that we think is definitely worth the watch for your Jujutsu Kaisen stans out there is this Yuta and Maki edit courtesy of the same talented TikToker, Cam.

If you would like to see more anime edits like the one above, you can do so by heading to TikTok and looking up Megan Thee Stallion's new song. There will be many more anime edits where that came from!

Even outside of the anime community, people are being introduced to the world of Japanese rap as well as the world of anime edits because of "Mamushi" which means that a huge influx of new anime fans is on the way soon. The more the merrier!
