Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation season 2 returned in April. The first half of the second season covered Rudy's transition after enrolling into the Renoa University of Magic and his reunion with Sylph.

In the previous episode, Rudy and Syphy declare their marriage to their close friends and Elinalise discloses that she is Sylphy's grandmother. In this upcoming episode, Rudy's father makes his return, and Nanahoshi attempts to make some progress in her research.

 Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation season 2 episode 14 recap

In the previous episode, the show begins with Rudy and Sylphy preparing for their upcoming wedding. They decide who to invite as they discuss the attendees they wish to have.

The couple prepares the house for a gathering of close friends. During the party, Rudy is nervous about his speech in front of his guests and Badigadi arrives late just in time to interrupt the speech. He explains that it is a tradition to arrive late and Rudy then explains that he is marrying Sylphy and offers his gratitude to the guests for showing up.

The attendees approach the couple to offer their congratulations, and Elinalise becomes emotional during their conversation. Sylphy then asks Elinalise if she is her grandmother as she suspected because she heard that Paul, Rudy's father, adventured with her grandmother.

Elinalise confesses and pleads with Rudy not to abandon Sylphy. Rudy responds with reassurance and asks Cliff to escort her upstairs so she can have a conversation with Sylphy.

While Sylphy tended to Elinalise, Rudy is challenged to a duel with Luke as requested by Ariel. The duel included a sword for both men, and Rudy accepts the challenge with a wooden sword. He swiftly defeats Luke and learns that Ariel and Luke wanted to see his skills in action.

Ariel reveals that she will head back to her Kingdom and may fight for her throne in two years. Ariel may require Rudy's and Syphy's assistance.

They leave and Rudy returns to Sylphy and Elinalise. Elinalise reveals she had kids and left them to protect them from her reputation. Cliff then reiterates his goal to cure Elinalise's curse and requests assistance from Rudy.
