Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation season 2 returned in April to fans' excitement. The first half of the second season covered Rudy's transition after enrolling into the Renoa University of Magic and his reunion with Sylph.

In the most recent episode, Rudy hosts his sisters and he reunites with Ruijerd. He navigates his relationships with both younger sisters and decides to let Norn stay at the dorms for school. The upcoming episode will focus on Rudy continuing to attempt to bond with his sister, Norn, who is having difficulty adjusting to her school and social life.

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation season 2 episode 17 is titled “A Big Brother's Feeling” and it is scheduled to be released on Sunday, May 5, 2024, at 12:00 in Japan. It will be released in the U.S. on May 4, 2024, as it will be simulcast on Crunchyroll.

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation season 2 episode 16 recap

In the previous episode, Rudeus is reunited with his sisters and he learns that they were escorted by Ruijerd, his former companion. Rudeus and Ruijerd catch up together and Rudy learns that Roxy is with Paul's group. Ruijerd asks Rudy about Eris and Rudy tells him that Eris left him as she explained that they were not compatible. Ruijerd believes it may be a misunderstanding and informs Rudy he plans to leave the next morning.

The next day, Rudy wakes up to Badi Gadi and Ruijerd outside the house and he learns that they have a history together. Badi Gadi leaves shortly after and Ruijerd has breakfast with Rudy before leaving. Ruijerd bids his farewell to the couple and the Greyrat sisters and Norn voices her displeasure for Rudy. Rudy reads another letter from his father where he requests Rudy to send them to school and he decides to enroll them into the magic university.

The sisters are resistant to the idea of school and Rudeus begins to learn the complex natures of both girls and their dynamics. The next day, the sister takes an exam, and Aisha scores well while Norn leaves much to be desired. Rudy agrees that Aisha can help around the house and Norn should go to school to advance her education. Norn insisted on living in the dorms as she wished to have some distance from Rudy and to make some friends.

Aisha is defiant to this idea and resents the special treatment for Norn as she has trouble accepting that she is Rudy's half-sister. Rudy explains that both girls are his sisters and he intends to take care of both of them and he agrees to let Norn live in the dorms. During school, Norn is quiet and has a tough time navigating school life and making friends. While at the university, Linia and Pursena play a prank and wrap Rudy in without his knowledge. The prank is brought to Ariel's attention and they question Rudy's intention. He explains that the beast sisters were playing around and he was able to prove his innocence. The episode ends with Rudy confronting the Beast sisters on campus and he informs the sisters about his relationship to Norn, who is having a tough time at school.
