We blinked and somehow summer has almost come and gone. This is no shocker to us, as time does seem to fly much faster when you're having fun. Nevertheless, if someone told us that we would basically time travel to the next season, it's safe to say that many of us would've slowed down and appreciated the sunlight and warm weather a bit more.

Despite everything, summer is leaving sooner than later, but it's not gone just yet. That's why we want to give you a few anime titles that make you feel like you're still enjoying the summer while simultaneously getting ready to welcome a new season of your life.

Whether the end of summer makes you feel more nostalgic about the past or whether the end of this season makes you feel ecstatic about a new beginning, there's always an anime title out there that will surely comfort you no matter how you feel. Without further ado, here are three anime we think you should check out before summer's over.

My Oni Girl

My Oni Girl will take you on an adventure across the world where two polar opposites are brought together by fate. Tsumugi is outspoken and loves to live her life as boldly as she can, while Hiiragi likes to keep to himself and often bottles up his true emotions. Unfortunately for the latter, his unspoken feelings will catch up with him in a way he never thought possible.

In this world, the more you keep your true feelings hidden, the more they arise as "mini onis", which, if you collect enough, have the power to turn you into an ogre. To avoid this fate, Hiiragi must take the obvious path of being more expressive with how he feels. But this is easier said than done as there are internal and external threats that keep him from doing so.

Suzume

On the surface, Suzume tells the story of a boy who turns into a chair. However, upon further inspection, you'll find that there is much more to this film than that!

Suzume follows the life of a young girl named Suzume Iwato. One day, Suzume curiously follows a mysterious man who is trying to locate something supernatural. Little did she know that her innocent action would lead to not just her world but the entire world being shaken to the core by mysterious forces that may be too difficult for the average person to experience.

Between humans turning into a chair and tons of natural disasters, it's become evident that the world is in desparate need of saving. But who will save it? And, more importantly, how?

The Imaginary

Summer is a time when we often allow our imagination to flow as wildly as it wants. Why? Because it just feels right!

The Imaginary is a story that shows us the importance of keeping our childlike wonder alive for as long as we can. Killing our imagination means killing our dreams, and if our dreams aren't going strong then we find ourselves walking aimlessly.

With the main characters being adorable kids, you'll find yourself thinking back to a time when you were young and didn't have much to worry about other than what you were eating for dinner or where you placed your favorite toy. Above all, you'll think back to a time when summer felt like it was never going to end.
