If you've been waiting to learn more about Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft on Netflix, we're more than happy to say that the wait is almost over, as the streaming platform has finally announced when fans will be able to stream every second of this highly anticipated release.
The Verge reports that Tomb Raider will officially arrive on Netflix on Thursday, Oct. 10. On this date, Netflix is confirmed to release eight episodes. We don't know how long each of these episodes will be, but we assume they will be somewhere between 30 minutes and an hour.
We'll learn more about what's coming our way with this animated title in the near future. But for now, let's take a look at an official teaser and the official synopsis for Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft.
Netflix's Tomb Raider will do its best to replicate the iconic video game
The beloved 1996 video game was one of the best releases in history, so it makes sense why Netflix is aiming to replicate the basics of the original content. Nevertheless, the upcoming series still wants to create a new experience for both veteran and brand-new fans. As such, the site will spruce up the animated series by adding new content as well as reimagining iconic moments you know and love.
Here's a look at the official synopsis for the October 2024 release:
"Following the events of the Survivor series, Lara Croft has abandoned her friends to embark on increasingly more perilous solo adventures. But she must return home when a dangerous and powerful Chinese artifact is stolen from Croft Manor by a thief with an uncanny personal connection. Her daring pursuit will take her on an adventure around the world and to the depths of forgotten tombs, where she will be forced to confront her true self, and decide just what kind of hero she wants to become."Netflix

Heard a familiar voice? That's because this animated title features none other than Agent Carter's Hayley Atwell!
In an interview with The Movie Dweeb, Atwell talked about how she is more than excited to voice this stunning character and speaks highly of the script that she was given to bring to life:
"It's really poignant and funny and light. I've loved doing it. I think the thing that they get so well is that they really understand the tone of it but they're also pushing it forward into what the fans want; it's natural progression of where it could go next. "Hayley Atwell for The Movie Dweeb
