What Happened in One Piece Episode 1074?

In the previous episode, the show begins with Yamamoto imploring Momonosuke to utilize his dragon powers to create flame clouds. Momonsuke is reminded of his final conversation with his mother before he jumped to the future. Kinemon encourages Momo to become brave and fight for the country and fulfill his mother's wish.

Luffy and Kaido's fight continues as Luffy is revealed to be able to grab lightning. Luffy hurls a thunderbolt toward Kaido, who remains confused about the particular powers of Luffy's devil fruit. Kaido becomes annoyed at the power and proclaims that Haki is more important and that Haki will determine who the strongest person is in this world. Gol D. Roger and Kozuki Oden were not devil fruit users, but their Haki powers were a force to be reckoned with.

Kaido then lands blow after blow to Luffy, who is launched into the air and then subsequently burnt to a crisp by Kaido's flame breath.
