Sakamoto Days TV anime to release in January 2025! Everything to know

After years of speculations and prayers from dedicated fans who would stop at nothing to see their favorite manga series put on their screens, Sakamoto Days is finally confirmed to be anime heading our way!

Crunchyroll reports that the beloved manga series written by Yuto Suzuki will receive an anime adaptation that will head our way as soon as January 2025. For some, this may be a long wait, but for those who have been waiting since the dawn of time, then you already know that the release date couldn't possibly come soon enough!

Sakamoto Days follows a retired assassin trying to live a normal life

Sakamoto Days tells the story of what happens to a hitman who decides to walk away from his dangerous yet fulfilling career and decides he wants to start a family and settle down in his life. As expected, his journey away from the wildlife is far from normal since many people look up to him and hope that he returns to his calling. Even so, he tries to fight the temptation since he does have a lot to lose. But will he be able to do so?

Although Sakamoto looks much different than he did when he was younger that didn't stop fans from thirsting for this handsome lead. And not just thirsting after his design, but also swooning over his talented voice actor you've certainly heard of many times before.

Sakamoto will be voiced by none other than Tomokazu Sugita, the same famous voice actor who voices the role of Gintoki in Gintama, Tadaomi Karasuma from Assassination Classroom, and Gyomei from Demon Slayer.

Aside from Sugita, we sadly don't have confirmation on the rest of the voice actors featured in this title. However, once we do, we're sure the lineup is going to impress you.

Last but not least is the talented crew bringing this show to our screens!

Masaki Watanabe, the same creative who has worked on shows like Fruits Basket season 2, Dinosaur King, and KADO - The Right Answer. Watanabe will be joined by Taku Kishimoto and Yo Moriyama, who are in charge of writing and character design, respectively.

This trio alone lets us know that the show is in good hands and will certainly exceed everyone's expectations!

With the exception of a few things such as a specific release date, episode count, and a few more important tidbits about this series, fans are all set to start freaking out about the arrival of this series since it is sure to set the tone for all anime releasing in 2025.
