Solo Leveling is a new series set to premiere this weekend, serving as an adaptation of a Korean manhwa. The anime is produced by A-1 Pictures with Shunsuke Nakashige as the director. Noboru Kimura wrote the screenplay and character designs were done by Tomoko Sudo, with monster concepts by Hirotaka Tokuda. The anime will follow the main character, Sung Jinwoo, the weakest hunter in a world where people possess superhuman abilities and battle ferocious monsters. His life changes when he encounters an accident and gains powers that allow him to grow stronger.
Solo Leveling episode 1 is titled "I'm Used to It" and is scheduled to be released on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024, at 6:00 pm Japanese Standard Time (JST) and will be simulcast on Crunchyroll in the United States. The episode will also be available in the U.S. on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024.

What to know about Solo Leveling
This highly anticipated series is based on author Chugong's manhwa which started in 2014. It spans 14 volumes with 270 chapters. It's been one of the biggest manhwa worldwide, with fans attracted to its action style. The story revolves around the trials and tribulations of the world's weakest Hunter, Sung Jinwoo. Hunters are humans who possess supernatural abilities that began when mysterious dungeons appeared on Earth.
Sung is weak and after escaping a near-death experience, he encounters an AI known as the "System" which offers him the ability to level up that all other Hunters lack. Krage will perform the ending theme song, "Request," and Hiroyuki Sawano is the composer. TOMORROW x TOGETHER will be performing the theme song, "LEveL."
The Crunchyroll press release also revealed the Japanese and English voice-acting cast for the series: Sung Jinwoo is voiced by Aleks Le, Yoo Jinho is voiced by Justin Briner, Sung Jinah is voiced by Rebecca Wang, and Cha Hae-in is voiced by Michelle Rojas.
