Solo Leveling episode 4 recap
In the previous episode, Sung resumes his clash with the steel-fanged Lycan in the instance dungeon. Sung becomes concerned for his survival as the two trade blows and he pulls a magic sword from his inventory to take the Lycan down.
Two more Lycans appear and Sung struggles against them. He figures out that his level and stats increase as he experiences real combat. He receives a steel fang for defeating the Lycans, and he figures out that this dungeon differs from the normal gates. He finds that his players' system has a store that he can access as he levels up. He sells the Lycan fang and receives gold.
He then tries to put together the mystery of the instance dungeon and its rules. He advances forward as a group of Lycans appear one after another. Sung levels up after he defeats each monster, and he earns the title of Wolf Assassin on his log screen.
His sword has worn down after taking down all the Lycans, and Sung receives several items and a teleportation stone as a reward.
While Sung was in the instance dungeon, Joohee receives a call from the Hunter association informing her that her healing abilities are coveted for an upcoming mission. A dungeon break has occurred nearby and Joohee accepts the mission as hunters are in dire need of healers.
Sung advances in the instance dungeon and defeat more beasts as he notes that the color of monster titles indicate their level of difficulty. Sung travels deeper into the dungeon and encounters the boss, and his sword is broken at the beginning of the fight. The title of the beast is highlighted in orange, and it is a snake named Kasaka. Sung battles the dungeon boss and discovers the creature has impenetrable skin. Sung reflects on his weaknesses and life as he declares his determination to become stronger as he squeezes Kasaka. He can take Kasaka down, and his log screen informs him that he has leveled up. He receives a dagger made from the snake fangs and venom gland.
Sung returns to Earth and discovers that a dungeon break has occurred and that the boss is currently attacking a group of hunters. Sung examines the battle with his newly acquired perception abilities, and he also notices Joohee is still struggling from the God statue incident. Sung then hurls his broken sword toward the boss to shatter its defense. The hunter party can finish the monster. Sung is shocked to see how much his strength has increased, and Joohee spots him at the end of the episode.
