The Rising of the Shield Hero continues this fall with its sixth episode of the season as the show continues off from the confrontation between the Sword and the Spear Hero. Naofumi reunites with two other cardinal heroes and the trio will be featured in this upcoming episode. The episode will highlight the results of the class upgrades from the demi-humans as Naofumi decides who to add to his party for their upcoming clash.

What happened previously in The Rising of the Shield Hero?

In the last episode of The Rising of the Shield Hero, Naofumi and his party have abandoned their carriage to avoid Motoyasu, the Shield Hero, as he has developed an obsession with Filo after witnessing her singing.

Naofumi and his crew are then attacked while traveling by two members from another world that was revealed to be destroyed. The two attacked are able to call on a meteor through a spell and Naofumi uses Shield Prison to thwart the attack. S'yne then steps in to defend Naofumi and is revealed to be a Vassal Weapon wielder from a destroyed world. She is able to drive off the attackers and informs Naofumi that she left a tracker on him when they first met at the coliseum. She is not interested in witnessing the fall of more heroes and requests again to join Naofumi on his journey.

Naofumi returns to Lurolona village and the demi-humans have been making progress in terms of combat ability. He agrees to take anyone over level 40 and upgrade their class in order to improve their abilities. While at Melromarc, Naofumi advises the interested demi-humans to carefully choose the paths they would like to go on. He is able to apply upgrades to the kids who sought their respective ability improvements.

The crew decides to go hunting to test these new upgrades and Eclair warns Naofumi about the attacks that infiltrated the village previously. Eclair suspects foul play from the Three Heroes church and Naofumi decides to split the hunting party into groups as they begin to look for the perpetrator's hideout. At the end of the episode, Naofumi stumbles upon a fight between a masked Ren, the Sword Hero, and Motoyasu.
