The Rising of the Shield Hero season 3 episode 8 release date and time

The Rising of the Shield Hero will continue its third season with the eighth episode premiering this weekend. The Heroes are preparing for the Phoenix which is about two months away from appearing. In the previous episode, the Shield Hero's dragon hatched and swallowed the emperor's core which caused the dragon to fly away in a fit of rage. In the upcoming episode, the crew will navigate around the predicament with Gaelion, the dragon, as they locate the monster and attempt the tame it.

The Rising of the Shield Hero season 3 episode 8 is titled “Dragon’s Nest” and is scheduled to be released on Friday, November 24, 2023, at 9:00 pm Japanese Standard Time (JST). What happened previously in The Rising of the Shield Hero?

In the last episode of The Rising of the Shield Hero, the Shield Hero and party are back at LuroLona Village and the villagers continue to train as the upcoming battle is two months away. Naofumi and Rapthalia discover that Keel is able to assume his dog with Sadeena's assistance. Ren is shown to be training with Eclair on swordsmanship.

During the day, Filo runs towards Naofumi in panic as a woman is shown to be riding her. The woman reveals herself as Ratotille Anthreya, who was sent by the Queen in order to assist Naofumi. Rat informs Naofumi that she is an exiled alchemist who specializes in monsters and wishes to help the Shield Hero. Rat agrees to receive a slave crest from Naofumi to continue her research on monsters and the crew heads to the stables. There are an increasing number of caterpilands as they lay eggs and the kids plead with Naofumi to keep the monsters. Rat offers to raise the caterpilands and offers to conduct research to help them get stronger.

Wyndia tells Naofumi that he received a package from Siltvelt which includes a huge egg that is revealed to be a dragon. Rat explains that dragons can breed with creatures of multiple species which could lead to problems and are capable of destroying the ecosystem.

Naofumi asks Ren to take care of the eggs and is turned down as Ren is still battling with his curse series. Naofumi takes on the task of incubating the egg and Rapthalia receives a new sword from the blacksmith. Atla wakes up in Naofumi's bed for the third time and reiterates her ambition to be Naofumi's "shield."

Rat sets up camp at a tree and is able to start making her research place. The dragon egg eventually hatches and is revealed to be a red Wyr dragon and is named Gaelion. Wyndia is tasked with taking care of the newborn dragon and Gaelion is drawn towards Naofumi. Later, Gaelion enters Naofumi's room and swallows Naofumi's emperor's dragon core from Kizuna's world. Gaelion begins to grow after swallowing the core and flies away from the village at the end of the episode.
