As part of Crunchyroll's summer 2024 line-up, the sequel series to the original fantasy anime, Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest, has gone live and is now available for fans to stream. As of this writing, two episodes have aired. New episodes of Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest go live on Crunchyroll every Sunday. In the event of delays to the release dates of future episodes, Anime Away will provide updates.

The Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest adapts the manga series following up the original Fairy Tail by Hiro Mashima, which ran from 2006-2017. With Atsuo Ueda taking over as the primary artist, the 100 Years Quest manga has been running since 2018. The main cast of the original Fairy Tail — including Natsu, Lucy, Erza, and Happy — returns in 100 Years Quest.

Additionally, it was previously announced in the lead-up to the series's premiere that 100 Years Quest features the opening theme "Story" by Da-iCE and the ending theme "Tomo yo, Koko de Sayonara da" by Boku ga Mitakatta Aozora. In addition to providing additional information about the characters and voice cast, as well as character art here, Crunchyroll has also provided the following official synopsis:

"The rowdiest guild in Fiore Kingdom is back! Natsu, Lucy, Gray, Erza, and the whole Fairy Tail guild tackle the legendary “100 Years Quest,” tougher than any S-Class quest. Their goal: find the first wizard guild ever, located in the far north of Guiltina. Facing new gods, mysterious towns, and ominous foes, they’ll have their work cut out for them. Will they succeed where no wizard has before?"

Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest is available to stream in the following regions: the Americas, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Iceland, and continental Europe including the German-speaking countries, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark and the Netherlands. The series is currently only available with the original Japanese voice track, but Crunchyroll provides English, German, Latin American Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese subtitles.

Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest, the original Fairy Tail series, and the movie Dragon Cry are all streaming now on Crunchyroll.
