Jujutsu Kaisen is one of the best anime shows that we have with us today.

With two seasons and one film under its belt, it's very easy to lose yourself in the many episodes that we have with us right now. However, there are some episodes that simply stand above the rest, reminding us what a wild rollercoaster ride this anime is but also how this anime came to be one of the best new-generation shounen anime shows we have with us today.

Whether you're someone who loves the sophomore season more than the first season or someone who simply thinks every episode is stellar, there are always those handful of episodes in every anime show that truly encapsulate the heart of a show. So much so that, without those episodes, the anime simply wouldn't be as strong.

Without further ado, here are the three best episodes of Jujutsu Kaisen that do an amazing job of telling the story of Yuji Itadori's journey as a sorcerer.

Episode 7: "Assault"

"Assault" is the one episode that had a lot riding on it for the simple fact that it was the episode where fans needed to know that Gojo Satoru was, indeed, the strongest sorcerer that has ever graced the Earth.

In this episode, Gojo needed to put a stop to Jogo, the cursed spirit working against sorcerers, once and for all. However, it wasn't about Gojo defeating Jogo. After all, he could easily do that in his sleep. Rather, it was about Gojo sending Jogo as well as Jujutsu Kaisen fans a message that he wasn't the one to be played with. And boy did this episode do a great job of showing this!

The weakest battles for Gojo, he could do with one eye open, so it was important for "Assault" to set up Gojo's character and power scaling for future episodes. This not only gave fans something to look forward to but also made us huge fans of Gojo from here on out.

Episode 21: "Jujutsu Koshien"

In a world where people die at the drop of a hat and where evil spirits lurk around, causing chaos to anyone and everyone, it's healthy to have a slice-of-life episode to ease the pain.

"Jujutsu Koshien" is an episode that shows how much a break the young and upcoming sorcerers of today need after so much chaos. Granted, a baseball game wasn't necessarily what most of them had in mind. But it was more than enough to help both the sorcerers and Jujutsu Kaisen fans realize that sorcerers, including Gojo, are human and need to slow down every now and again.

This episode is such a nice breath of fresh air. And while there are very few like this one, especially in the violent world of Jujutsu Kaisen, it's one we can look back on fondly.

Episode 29: "Premature Death"

Even though we know much about Gojo Satoru's power, we barely know anything about the man behind the title of "The Strongest". Fortunately, "Premature Death" sheds a little more insight into who he is and why he does what he has to do to uphold his image.

When you watch "Premature Death", you come to understand why Gojo's best friend, Geto, was pushed over the edge to become the worst version of himself. In the same breath, you also come to understand how the events of this episode (and episodes prior) pushed Gojo in the opposite direction to become someone who protects others with his power. Having this juxtaposition in the same episode goes to show how nuanced this show is.

Above all, the events of "Premature Death" essentially dictated how and why the entire story of Jujutsu Kaisen unfolded the way it did, so it's easily one that you cannot miss under any circumstances.

Needless to say, Jujutsu Kaisen is a banger from start to finish. No matter what episode you watch, we're sure you'll be thoroughly entertained!
