Popular Youtuber and streamer IShowSpeed has announced a deal with the producer of the One Piece anime greenlighting him to stream episodes of the hit series on his channel. The announcement was initially made on-stream by IShowSpeed himself and has since been shared across various anime fanpages and social media accounts, as seen below:

According to the accouncement, IShowSpeed claims to have met with a producer of the One Piece anime with unique direct access to series creator Eiichiro Oda. As a result of this meeting, he has apparently been given unique permission to show episodes of One Piece directly on his stream. The exact terms of his deal with the One Piece production team are not yet known. IShowSpeed's claims have been met with skepticism by anime fans online, in part because of the lack of clear details.

IShowSpeed is a well-known anime fan and a big fan of One Piece in particular. In fact, of this writing, the profile picture and header image of his YouTube channel are a picture of Luffy. Notably, he has recorded and released a song titled "One Piece." He has also been involved with other well-known pop culture properties. For example, he was involved in fellow streamer and part-time wrestler Logan Paul's successful defense of the WWE Intercontinental Championship at Wrestlemania XL this past April.

IShowSpeed's most notable moment in the match saw him on the receiving end of a devastating RKO from iconic wrestler Randy Orton:
