With all the anime coming your way in Summer 2024, The Elusive Samurai is an anime that we certainly do not want to fly under the radar!

This anime will surely remind you of a ton of anime titles that you've seen before. Namely, Demon Slayer in the sense that the protagonist also lost his entire family due to wicked individuals. However, this anime is an entirely different experience from Demon Slayer, which is why we think you should give it a try!

Without further ado, here are three reasons why we think you should watch The Elusive Samurai!

The Elusive Samurai's story will change your life

The story of this anime follows the life of Tokiyuki Hojo, a young man who is constantly running away from danger after a sick man, Ashikaga Takauji, kills his entire family.

Running away is all Tokiyuki can do, given his weaknesses. However, once he begins seeking strength and knowledge from all corners of the world, it becomes clear that Tokiyuki's strength is the only thing that will allow him to live a life free of violence.

Tokiyuki has to grab life by the horns if he wants to thrive. But with everyone coming to stand in the way of his bright future, what will he do to overcome his constant trials and tribulations?

Read the full synopsis for the anime below:

"After the massacre of his family by the traitor Ashikaga Takauji, Tokiyuki flees with the help of a handful of loyal retainers who have also survived the purge. One of them is Suwa Yorishige, an ally of the Hojo clan and lord of Suwa Province. The slightly odd Yorishige also claims to be clairvoyant and foretells that Tokiyuki will one day become the ruler of Japan. But for the moment, escaping from enemy territory is the priority!"
