In the world of anime, adaptions are always being announced, giving fans something to look forward to while they wait for even more series and movies to be announced. This time, fans are reeling in from the exciting news that Dark Machine, the video game that will soon take the world by storm, is confirmed to receive an anime in the near future. Here's what to know!

At the 2024 San Diego Comic-Con, it was revealed that Dark Machine: The Animation would serve as the anime adaption of the Web3 Game of the same name. It was also revealed that Goro Taniguchi, the same mastermind who worked on titles like One Piece Film Red and Code Geass, will serve as the creative producer behind the project. And if you thought that was exciting, then you'll be more than pleased to learn that Back Arrow's Hidetaka Tenjin will work alongside Taniguchi as the lead mechanical designer.

But wait, there's more!

Kazumi Terada, the creative who worked on Run with the Wind and Psycho-Pass 3, is our director for the project. Terada will also be joined by a powerful team named "Team Carbuncle", which consists of Takaaki Suzuki, Tatsuhiko Urahata, and Baki Hanma vs. Kengan Ashura's Atsuo Ishino.

Between Goro Taniguchi and many more spearheading this project and the subject matter of the game, we can tell that this anime will be a force to be reckoned with. If you're as excited as we are, read on to learn more about what's to come with Dark Machine: The Animation!

Dark Machine: The Animation will be as action-packed as the iconic video game

Based on the video game, the upcoming anime project will tell the story of a world filled with robots as well as the pros and cons that come with humans trying to live amongst technological creatures that may pose them harm.

As far as how the video game will be implemented into the anime remains to be seen. But for now, here's what else you can expect from the anime:

"The year is 2079.
Humankind is living in an energy bubble after Dr. Robert Palmer discovered the Palmer crystal to give humankind all of the energy it would ever need and more. Unfortunately, not all of humankind has benefited from this hyper energy source and underground battles for this energy have developed at a global scale. The factory robots that have been helping to cultivate this energy of the future have been transformed to fighting mechs by these undergrounds and they are fighting for huge stakes.

However, dark energy is said to reside in small quantities in the Palmer crystal. The use of hyper AI technologies was used in an attempt to harness this dark energy and use it for battle advantages. It is currently unclear whether this dark energy can be controlled by mechs."
