One Piece episode 1086 recap
In the previous episode, One Piece concluded its Wano arc and the Straw Hats are preparing for their next journey. Nami is enraged at Luffy for directing the ship down the waterfall instead of utilizing the port. She cages Luffy as the new bounties arrive for the Straw Hats. Each of the new bounties are revealed for each crew member.
Chopper's new bounty is 1000 berries, Nami's bounty is at 366 million berries, and Brook's bounty is at 383 million berries. Franky's bounty is revealed to be 394 million berries and Usopp is shocked to see that his bounty increased to 500 million berries. Robin's bounty is 930 million berries and Sanji's went up to 1 billion and 32 million berries. Jimbei's bounty is set at 1 billion and 100 million berries and Zoro discovers that his bounty is 1 billion and 111 million berries. Luffy's status as an emperor of the sea sets his bounty at 3 billion Berries.
The show then shifts its focus to Buggy and how the Cross Guild came into existence. Mihawk and Crocodile confront Buggy on his position as the face of the cross guild and question how he became an emperor and his position in the group. A flashback reveals to the viewers that the Marines surrounded Mihawk after the titles of Warlords were stripped.
Mihawk was preparing to leave but was soon offered by Crocodile to team up as they went against the Navy. Crocodile then heads toward Emptee Bluffs island to collect his debt from Buggy, who offers to help Crocodile in his plan to oppose the marines and instructs his subordinates to spread the news of the partnership with Mihawk and Crocodile. However, the flyers made by Buggy's underlings accidentally portray Buggy as the figurehead of the guild and the Navy assumes Buggy as the mastermind. The Navy then considers Buggy as an emperor of the sea and notes his connection to Shanks and Gold Roger.
Crocodile's bounty is at 1 billion and 965 million berries and Mihawk's is set at 3 billion and 590 million berries. Buggy's bounty is revealed to be 3 billion and 189 million berries. Mihawk then proposes they use the misunderstanding to their advantage and that Buggy serving as the figurehead of the group would be beneficial for both him and Crocodile.
