Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 episode 22 recap
In the previous installment, the episode began with Panda looking for Kusakabe after Sukuna wreaked havoc on the city. Kusakabe is located and he admits to Panda that he isn't optimistic about Yuji's outlook and that he is in favor of his execution.
The show shifts to Mei Mei as she is lying in bed with Ui Ui in Malaysia. She reveals that they teleported because she didn't see a favorable outcome in Shibuya. While on the phone, Mei Mei recommends the caller sell their stocks and real estate in Japan and she warned there is about to be a power shift. The episode then goes back to Choso as he is coming to grips with his false memories and his relation to Yuji and he heads towards the battle.
The show then picks up after the last episode as Geto appears before Mahito and offers to save him. Yuji charges towards Geto and demands the return of Gojo. Geto releases his curse manipulation with his catfish curse and centipede curse and deals damage to Yuji. Geto then uses his technique to absorb Mahito by turning him into an orb.
Geto reveals that his technique is related to the concept of Uzumaki and that absorbing curse spirits into high-density curse energy allows him to manipulate the spirits. The sorcerers from Kyoto arrive as they ambush Geto and he is able to deal with them with ease. Miwa charges in with her sword style but Geto uses his technique with the newly captured Mahito and aims it at Miwa. Miwa is saved by Kusakabe and Utahime and Panda regroups with Yuji. Panda tells Kamo that Geto Suguru is the shell and he does not know who is inside.
Choso arrives and he is conflicted with his thoughts and looks towards Geto in disbelief. Choso reveals that he has a mother and that she was impregnated by a curse spirit and the sorcerer named Kamo Noritoshi meddled in his conception.
This is surprising as Kamo Noritoshi is regarded as the worst sorcerer from 150 years ago. Choso is furious with Geto as he is manipulated to attack Yuji who he believes is his Younger Brother. Uraume arrives to prevent Choso from advancing but Choso is ready to fight as Yuji's older brother. Choso explains that a side effect to his ability lets him sense changes with his blood-related siblings. This allows him to sense Yuji's death during their fight and he surmises that he is related to Yuji considering the person inside Geto is able to switch bodies over the years.
Choso confronts Geto and Uraume and uses his blood manipulation. As the rest of the sorcerers take charge, Uraume uses an ice-cursed technique and is able to freeze the attackers. As Uraume moves in to finish Choso, Yuji intervenes and is able to remove Choso from the ice. Uraume is enraged that Yuji is endangering his body as Sukuna's vessel and uses Icefall to trap him and hurl projectiles of ice toward him and Choso. As Yuji is about to be hit, he is saved by a woman that was seen earlier this season. The woman is revealed to be Yuki Tsukomo and she repeats her question to Geto about what his type is.
