Recap of the previous chapter
The previous chapter starts with the Han royal court who were shocked after hearing that another 100,000 men had joined the Tou army. They couldn't comprehend how Qin could suddenly have so many soldiers.
The first general of the Han, Rakukan, says that they need to pull out their forces from the Nanyou and should focus on reinforcing the lands around the capital. This was the most logical step that they could take, and the King of Han finally gave the order.
The soldiers from the Nanyou started to leave along with the citizens. Only the lord of the castle decided to stay along with some old citizens. The Lord has decided to offer his life to save more people.
Hi-Shin unit finally hears the news about Tou army capturing the Nanyou without any bloodshed. We were then shown the flashback where Tou had the meeting with Shouhei Kun, where he requested 100,000 men. They want to use a psychological tactic so that they can take Nanyou without any bloodshed.
The extra 100,000 men were just the ordinary old citizens of the Qin who were recruited with the gold. This was the bluff that they played and succeeded with a splendid victory.
