Mashle: Magic and Muscles season 2 episode 1 recap

In the previous episode, the season kicked off with e brief recap of the events that occurred the previous season. Mash had defeated the Magia Lupus and the Innocent Zero continued their plots against the magic school. Rumors start to spread about Mash's lack of magic power after a student overhears it. While the kids go back to attending school, Finn is cautious and reminds Mash that they have to keep his lack of magic a secret.

A student stumbles upon both Finn and Mash and questions Mash about his abilities. Mash has a difficult time lying and the student doesn't buy his answers. Finn attempts to leave quickly with Mash and Lance steps in and uses his magic on the student. Dot and Lemon arrive shortly after and the group head to eat. As the group heads to the dining hall, they meet up with Abel and Abyss of the Magia Lupus. The two have decided to help Mash as he will be targeted by the Innocent Zero. Finn learns from Lance that he encountered death row inmates during their battle with Magia Lupus.

Abyss then warns Mash about Innocent Zero and explains that Abel gained his powers through that organization. Abel gained a third magic marking on his face as he used the powers to gain more coins. The student who suspects Mash comes by later to spy on the group but is caught by Finn and Abel. An owl arrives to give Mash a letter and he discovers that he has been summoned by the Bureau of Magic.

Mash heads over to the Bureau of Magic as he is requested to explain accusations about his abilities. The divine visionaries have their eye on Mash as they intend to eliminate anyone who lacks magic. Ryoh, a divine visionary, meets Mash and explains how order and fairness are necessary in the world of magic. He then throws a candle towards Mash and asks him to light it without touching it.

Mash uses his physical prowess and rubs his wand at an outrageous speed to start a fire. After lighting the candle, Mash ensures Ryoh that he will sway people's opinions with his strength. As Mash heads to leave, he is met by the other Divine visionaries. The visionaries explain there is no place for people without powers and they are then ambushed by a man being controlled by Innocent Zero through a magic parasite. Innocent Zero verbally confirms that Mash is their target but the parasite is removed by Mash and Ryoh is shocked by Mash's actions. Orter, one of the divine visionaries, is rigid in his rules and is set on eliminating Mash but Ryoh advocates for Mash. As the divine visionaries argue about Mash's fate, Wahlberg and Rayne arrive at the end of the episode.
