My Deer Friend Nokotan and 8 other anime to watch this weekend (July 13-14)
By Diana Nosa
For us, the weekend is the perfect time to reset, recharge, and, most importantly, relax. Perhaps you feel the same way? If so, you'll probably also agree with us when we say that the weekend is the time when we catch up with all the anime releases that we may have missed throughout the busy week!
From Tower of God season 2's official debut to the continuation of the story of Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian, there are so many anime shows to choose from to watch over the weekend. Fortunately for you, we're here to narrow it down so that you don't have to worry about missing out on any releases.
Without further ado, here are the anime you should absolutely check out this weekend!
My Deer Friend Nokotan
Starting with one of the most hilarious anime titles we've watched in a long time: My Deer Friend Nokotan!
My Deer Friend Nokotan tells the story of a young girl, Torako, who comes across a half-human half-deer entity, Nokotan, who seems to know more about Torako than anyone does. Despite Nokotan sticking out like a sore thumb, few seem to notice this strange creature nor do they question the even stranger occurrences that happen around her. The inability to see Nokotan for what she really is only leads Torako to the brink of insanity, as dealing with this deer-human is way more than she thought she could handle.
See all this and more in the official trailer for My Deer Friend Nokotan below.
If this sounds like an anime that's right up your alley, be sure to catch a brand-new episode of the anime on Sunday, July 14! But while you're at it, don't forget to also add Tower of God season 2 to your weekend watchlist.
Tower of God season 2
After years of waiting patiently for a second installment, fans get to finally witness the art that is Tower of God.
Although season 2 contains new characters and new situations, the goal is still the same: make it to the top of the tower to have your greatest wish answered. What others will do to achieve victory will certainly shock you, but what others will do to overcome these obstacles will surprise you even more.
Where only the strongest can survive, who comes out on top? Who will fall to the wayside? The only way to find out is by tuning into new episodes of Tower of God season 2 every Sunday on Crunchyroll! As you wait for new episodes to roll out, however, check out everything that's on the way by streaming the trailer for the 2024 installment below.
In addition to Tower of God season 2 and My Deer Friend Nokotan, here are 7 more anime titles to check out this weekend:
