One Piece episode 1099 release date and time (and an episode 1098 refresher)

One Piece started the Egghead Island arc in January as the series transitions to focus on Dr. Vegapunk. The Pirate Crew has ended up on Egghead Island which depicts a futuristic landscape. The crew will learn about Vegapunk's role in the grand scheme of this world as the World government begins to take action.

In the previous episode of One Piece, the straw hats learn about the robot that attacked Marijoa and Vegapunk's intention to provide free energy worldwide. Cp-0 also takes action to enter the island, and it is met with resistance from the Vegapunks. In the next episode, Cp-0 will land on Egghead and they are confronted by Atlas.

One Piece episode 1099 release date and time

One Piece episode 1099 is titled Preparations for Interception! Rob Lucci Strikes!" and is scheduled to be released on Sunday, March 31, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. Japanese Standard Time (JST) and will be simulcast on Crunchyroll in the United States. The episode will also be available in the U.S. on Saturday, March 30, 2024.

One Piece  episode 1098 recap

In the previous episode, Vegapunk explains the robot that Luffy and the group found in the scrapyard. Luffy is curious and determined to wake it up and repeatedly bangs on the body.

Vegapunk is not sure why the robot attacked Marijoa two hundred years ago and that it lost power before causing damage. The government ordered to destroy the robot, but scientists wanted to investigate the robot further. Robin learns that the robot attacked at the same time when Fish-Men gained rights.

Shaka explains that there were attempts to recreate the robot, but they do not know how to reproduce the power source it was made with. Back at the scrapyard, Vegapunk reveals he feels bad for Bonney and that it may be fate that he stumbled upon the group on the island. He requests Luffy to help him get off the island because the government is coming for him.

CP-0 is heading towards the Island as they attack the sea beasts. They request access to Pythagoras, and Shaka refuses to let them in. Lucci questions the Vegapunks about certain disappearances relating to previous Cipher Pol ships.

At Kambakka Queendom, Kuma suddenly starts to move and heads away from the revolutionary army. The army is caught by surprise and is confused by Kuma's actions. Ivankov and Dragon attempt to stop Kuma, but he eventually uses his power to teleport off the island.

Luffy asks Vegapunk why he wants to leave the island. Vegapunk is aiming to change the future by providing free energy to everyone in the world. This would prevent the cause of many wars and provide the world access to many more opportunities. He reveals as he gets closer to his dream, he also started to find out about the robot power source which alerted the World Government. The government is now set on eliminating Vegapunk because he is researching the forbidden history.
