Solo Leveling season 1 episode 8 release date and time (and what to expect)

Solo Leveling had its series premiere in January 2024, and its eighth episode will be released this weekend. The series introduced Sung Jinwoo, a monster hunter, who experiences an awakening in his powers after his encounter with a double dungeon.

In the previous episode, Sung decides to enter the demon castle in order to gain an elixir that can help his mother. Outside the castle, Sung is ambushed by a Cerberus and experiences an almost deadly battle. The next episode will cover the survivors of the double dungeon mission as they reunite and take on a D-rank dungeon.

Solo Leveling episode 8 is titled "This is Frustrating" and is scheduled to be released on Saturday, March 02, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. Japanese Standard Time (JST) and will be simulcast on Crunchyroll in the United States. The episode will also be available in the U.S. on Saturday, March 02, 2024.

In the previous episode, the Hunter's association becomes aware of Sung's last dungeon mission and the case was presented to Woo. Woo is not interested at first, but becomes intrigued when he learns Sung is the person he saw at the hospital and that one of the hunters who died is the brother of an important hunter.

Sung is at home eating with his sister and explains that he will be able to cover the hospital bills for their mom. Sung is in a state of reflection after his mission and he is accepting the reality of killing other humans. He acknowledges that he has changed and that he will focus on surviving and becoming stronger. The player's screen informs him that the drink he is consuming can harm him. Sung discovers that he is relatively immune from the aftereffects of drinking alcohol and that the player system stops him from getting drunk. He also realizes that the player system reward for clearing the double dungeon gave him healing abilities which would explain his limbs regenerating.

Jinah then tells Sung that Yoo called to meet him. Sung meets Yoo, who has a proposition for him. Yoo is attempting to start a strike team and wants Sung as a part of his crew. He needs to complete nineteen more expeditions in order to become a licensed guild master and intends to help his father run a guild to make money for the company. Sung is cautious of the offer even though Yoo presented him with thirty billion. Sung declines and then the show cuts to Hwang's brother, Dongsoo. Dongsoo is looking for information on his brother's death and he learns about Sung and wonders if he can escape punishment through extradition.

Sung tests his abilities during his exercise and the player log rewards him for overachieving his physical requirements. The system presents him with a loot box that contains the demons castle key. The item states that the dungeon is S-rank and that the prize includes the "Elixir of Life" which can cure all illnesses. Sung immediately thinks of his sick mother and wonders if the elixir can fix her condition. he decides to use the key and enters the dungeon. He has the teleportation in case he wants to escape. He is attacked by the Cerberus monster guarding the castle and he learns that the beast level is far too difficult.

He manages to buy potions from the store in the player system but his health points remain dangerously low. Sung takes on massive damage and continues to get bit and loses his limbs. Sung then successfully beats the beast after multiple stabbing attempts and the player system alerts him that he has gained many rewards. He has to find three items for the elixir and the items are found within the castle. Sung decides to wait before heading in as he aims to get stronger which sets the stage for episode 8.
