There are some anime titles that make us do a double-take when we hear them. As of recent, Ugly, Epicfighter is one of those titles, as the upcoming anime adaptation not only has a weird name but also includes a pretty out-of-this-world story that has us intrigued.
As reported by Crunchyroll, the anime series is expected to release shortly. Although a release date has yet to be confirmed, anime fans are ensuring this anime is on their watchlist whenever it airs. Here’s why you should also anticipate this title!
Ugly, Epicfighter shows that there is more to life than outer appearances
Based on his looks alone, Shigeru Yoshioka is someone very few would consider attractive. Naturally, this makes him an outsider, someone who no one truly wants to interact with. It also doesn’t help that he’s very awkward around women, meaning neither his dating life nor social life is flourishing. Despite all this, there is something that makes Shigeru exceptionally unique. And that is his outer (and inner) strength.
Read more of what you can expect from the anime title below.
"His looks are -255, touching girls causes him pain, and sexual acts will literally tear him apart. Just what can our ex-salesman Shigeru get in the other world in exchange for such inconveniences...? This is an epic tale of one very ugly, but ridiculously strong man!"Crunchyroll
There’s way more content where that came from! Check out this brand-new teaser key art from Ugly, Epicfighter’s official account!
Are you not too sold on watching the series just yet? Perhaps knowing that Junichi Sawabe, the same iconic voice actor who lent his deep and sultry voice to Sukuna from Jujutsu Kaisen, Shouei Barou from Blue Lock, and Hermes from Record of Ragnarok, will voice Ugly, Epicfighter’s protagonist, Shigeru.
In addition to Junichi Sawabe, we know that EGG FIRM will serve as the production company behind the title along with WHITE FOX leading as the animation production company.
Hopefully, this is more than enough to rope you into checking out Ugly, Epicfighter once it releases. If so, be sure to stay tuned with Anime Away to learn more about the upcoming anime adaptation, including the release date, the official trailer, and the other talented voice actors who will join Junichi Sawabe.
