WIT Studio will bring the anime Yaiba back to life in April 2025
By Diana Nosa
From Attack on Titan and Ranking of Kings to My Deer Nokotan and Spy x Family, WIT Studio has brought us tons of anime shows that go down in history as the greatest titles of all time. Safe to say that WIT Studios isn’t slowing down any time soon, as the animation studio is set to bring us Yaiba, a long-overdue anime remake.
As reported by Anime News Network, Yaiba has been confirmed to receive a brand-new version of the anime that ran in 1993. The 1993 version was wildly popular, having a grand total of fifty-two episodes. However, when it was cut short in 1994, anime fans, naturally, wanted more from the smash-hit title. It wasn’t until over two decades later that anime fans, both new and old, could finally rejoice in knowing that their favorite show was returning to their screens once more.
The twenty-year wait has officially come to an end, as Yaiba is slated to arrive in April 2025. Here’s everything to know!
Why you should watch Yaiba in the new year
Yaiba tells the story of a young prodigy who sets out on a grand adventure to take down demons and other malicious individuals. With his natural talent combined with the magical sword bestowed upon him, there’s nothing he can’t do.
Read more about what you can expect from the story of Yaiba below (via My Anime List):
