This weekend, Demon Slayer: Hashira Training Arc will be coming to an end.

The journey of the shounen anime's latest installment has been fairly light, as we watched Tanjiro move through different Hashira members' training grounds in an effort to become stronger and wiser on the battlefield. While these days were often tough on Tanjiro's body and mind, he persevered pretty smoothly, making this season of Demon Slayer one of the most laidback installments we've ever had. Or so we thought.

As we witnessed in the second to last episode of the Hashira Training Arc, Muzan has finally made his move, a moment that we are more than sure marks the end of the easygoing nature this season had at the start. That's why, to prepare you for what's to come in the hour-long finale, we want to remind you of three important facts that you may have forgotten about. This way, you're not confused by what may happen in the final episode and can even anticipate what's coming in the next installments.

Important details you need to remember about Demon Slayer

Between all the seasons and films that have been released thus far, it's easy to forget a few important story details that foreshadow what will soon happen in Demon Slayer: Hashira Training Arc. Even so, so long as you remember these three important details, you should be all set to watch the finale!

Nezuko is one of the few demons able to defy Muzan

Besides Nezuko having conquered the sun and becoming the only demon to be able to be in the sun without dying, Muzan wants Nezuko in his possession because she belongs to her in the ways that matter to him.

When Muzan personally converts a human to a demon, they bear his curse and thus, have to do everything he commands. However, due to sheer willpower, Nezuko is an anomaly to Muzan's curse and can't be controlled by him in any manner. Because of this, she doesn't have any loyalty to Muzan and has all the loyalty to Tanjiro and the rest of humanity.

Sure, Nezuko can do the one thing Muzan cannot do, but even before she conquered the sun, Nezuko was always one of the few demons (besides Lady Tamayo) who slipped out of Muzan's reach. This is the reason why, in addition to Kagaya Ubuyashiki, Muzan is after Nezuko and will stop at nothing to have her in his possession.

The remaining subjects of Muzan have otherworldly strength

When a demon is transformed into a demon by Muzan, they acquire supernatural powers that are truly incomparable to anything anyone has ever seen before. This fact is important to know because the remaining Upper Rank demons stand at the very apex of demons and very may well have the power to decimate the Demon Slayer Corps as we know it.

With the exception of Akaza, we haven't truly seen all the best Upper Rank demons in battle. But from what we know about their inability to be slain after all these years and the respect they've all gained from Muzan to be able to be called upon over and over by him, there shouldn't be a doubt in your mind that these demons know how to fight and, if it comes down to it, kill anything and everything standing in their way.

The strength of the remaining Upper Rank demons is an important fact to remember because, as we've seen, the regular soldiers in the Demon Slayer Corps can barely survive a day of training, meaning only the Hashira can hold a candle to the flame that burns within Muzan's subjects. But, even then, Muzan's subjects are overwhelmingly strong, putting Ubuyashiki, Nezuko, and humanity's survival in jeopardy.

Muzan is not just the final boss, he's the only boss

From the gruesome slaying of Tanjiro's Kamdao's family and the numerous lives lost to the Mugen Train to the destruction that wrecked through the Entertainment District and the fear put into the minds of those who reside at the Swordsmith Village, none of the chaos and cruelty that we've witnessed compares to the monstrosity that is Muzan.

Muzan is one of the few villains we have in anime where there truly is no way around him. No amount of friendship, training arcs, or plot armor can halt what this demon has done and is capable of. So much so that it's almost wiser for Tanjiro and his fellow peers to lay down and die rather than to fight back, as Muzan can and very may well be the reason why countless people will lose their lives.

The moment Muzan came into the Hashira and Demon Slayer Corps' headquarters, the saviors of humanity entered a battle that only so few can keep up with, for with Muzan, defeat is not an option.

Knowing Muzan's true purpose and understanding the true strength of himself and his allies paints a picture of how nerve-wracking the season finale is slated to be. Only time will tell what will happen in the final episode, but from what we can infer, it's not going to be pretty.

If you're just as excited to see the season finale of Demon Slayer: Hashira Training Arc as we are, don't forget to catch the brand-new, hour-long episode on Sunday, June 30, at 11:45 a.m. PT / 2:45 p.m. ET on Crunchyroll. See you there!
