Crunchyroll has announced that Good Bye, Dragon Life will start streaming on the platform in October 2024. Before the series hits streaming, the first episode will premiere at the Anime NYC convention on August 23, 2024. More information about this year's iteration of Anime NYC can be found at the convention's official website here.

Good Bye, Dragon Life is based on the original light novel series by Hiroaki Nagashima, with illustrations by Kisuke Ichimaru. The light novel series began in 2013 and is ongoing as of this writing. There has also been a manga adaptation since 2015. The anime adaptation is being produced as a collaboration between studios SynergySP — probably best known for Hayate the Combat Butler and the various Beyblade anime adaptations since 2009 — and Vega Entertainment.

Crunchyroll has given the following synopsis for the series:

"Long ago, the most ancient of divine dragons was slain by a human. The mighty dragon accepted its death when suddenly, it was reborn as Dolan, a man who lives in a quiet village. While spending another peaceful day toiling in the fields, he meets Celina, a half-human, half-snake creature looking for a partner. The unlikely duo become friends, but challenges lie ahead that threaten their new bond."

When Good Bye, Dragon Life hits Crunchyroll in October, it will be available in the following international regions: North, Central, and South America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, the CIS, and the Indian subcontinent. There is not currently any information about which, if any, languages Good Bye, Dragon Life will receive dubs for.
