The highly anticipated season of Jujutsu Kaisen is on the horizon, and we can't resist presenting to you one of the important details of the season, i.e., how many episodes JJK Season 2 will have? (We are pretty sure you must be dying to know about it).

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1 was released in 2020, and it gained worldwide popularity in significantly less time. It was the most talked about anime series of the year, and due to the positive reception, it received an award for the best anime of the year from Crunchyroll. Jujutsu Kaisen anime became one of the biggest reasons MAPPA is considered the powerhouse animation studio.

How many episodes will Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 come with?

Previously, with the release date information came the information that the new season of Jujutsu Kaisen will have a two-cour run. However, nothing was disclosed about the exact episode count. So, everyone assumed that we would get 24 to 26 episodes in the two-cour anime series. But, recently, it has come to our attention that JJK Season 2 will have 23 episodes, making it fall short by one episode if compared to the first season, as it had 24 episodes.

From the released trailers, we can see that the first cour of the second season will take us back in time when Geto and Gojo were not enemies. We will indeed witness what came in between their friendship and why Geto chose a dark path leaving Gojo behind. To be more precise, the first cour will feature Gojo's Past Arc.

Now, talking about the second cour, we couldn't be happier to state that the pivotal and the longest arc, i.e., Shibuya Incident Arc, will finally arrive on our screens. We hope to see the animated version of this arc living up to the hype.
