What is Mushoku Tensei about?

Mushoku Tensei tells a story of a hopeless man who gets crushed by a speeding truck. Before he can analyze the situation, he wakes up in another world as an infant. Initially, he faces difficulty to adjust in a new body that too when he clearly has memories of his past life. However, soon he starts enjoying his new life when he discovers that the new world is full of swords and magic.

Studio Bind returns as the animation studio for the new season, with Hiroki Hirano taking charge of the directorial part. Besides that script of the new season has been looked after by Toshiya Ono.

While most of the characters/casts will return for the new season, the recently released preview images and the trailer clearly shows that there will be two new significant entries. The names of these characters also got revealed; Silent Fitz and Ariel.

We are not saying that there is no other anime like Mushoku Tensei. Of course, several anime shows like Oshi No Ko and That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime follows a similar concept. However, if we talk about the popularity of Mushoku Tensei, recently, Anime Corner conducted a poll in which Bleach: TYBW Part 2 received the highest votes, followed by Mushoku Tensei Season 2. Shockingly, the votes for the sequel helped it to surpass the ranking of the highly anticipated Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2.
