Last week's episode featured attack after attack between Big Mom and Eustass "Captain" Kid and Trafalgar Law. The cliffhanger left everyone waiting for the conclusion of this fight, and in One Piece episode 1067, we got the conclusion.

After a massive attack from Kid, Big Mom seemed powerless and defeated. However, the spirit of an Emperor rages on even with little to no strength left. Her screams echoed throughout Onigashima as she seemed helpless. That is until she decided to cut a deal with them, which was to snatch 50 years from their lifespan. So, she uses Soul Pocus on them. However, it neither affected Kid nor Law as both don't fear Big Mom and Soul Pocus only works on the one who fears Big Mom.

Not wanting to hear the screams of Big Mom any longer, Law decided it was time to silence her for good. He used a new technique inspired by the man who saved his life, Corazon. Like Corazon's devil fruit, Law put a silencing bubble around Big Mom, and no one could hear her anymore. This was when Kid delivered the finishing blow with another Damned Punk that sent Big Mom through the bottom of the Island. On top of that, Law sliced Big Mom's minions so they couldn't go save her from falling.

This time it was official. Big Mom was truly defeated and started to question Gol D. Roger in her final thoughts. She wondered why he gave such a shining beacon of hope to this next generation at his execution. With these final thoughts, her life flashed before her eyes, and moments later, the narrator came in to tell us that Big Mom was defeated at the hands of Kid and Law.

After this, it cuts to Momonosuke continuing to try and pull the Island away from the Flower Capital. From the Big Mom-sized hole in the Island, Yamato is able to see Momonosuke and talk to him. Momo worries after learning that the enormous Zunesha is approaching the Island.

It was going to be hard to top last week's episode animation-wise, but all-in-all, this was a solid episode. The conclusion of the fight remained faithful to the manga and looked good. The pacing seemed slightly off when they cut to different scenes while Big Mom fell.

The ending of this confrontation also means we're one step closer to the fight between Luffy and Kaido. From the preview for next week, we'll go back to that fight as Kaido learns about the defeat of his ally. Let's see how he reacts!

This news is super exciting as it adds another layer to the authenticity that author Eiichiro Oda wants to bring to the live-action series to make it as good as possible.
