As the summer 2024 anime season winds down, recent anime announcements are giving us a better sense of what the fall 2024 season has in store. Among the latest announcements of fall 2024 debuts is the anime adaptation of A Terrified Teacher at Ghoul School!, which Crunchyroll confirms is scheduled to debut in Japan on October 8, 2024 and will run for two cours. An international streaming release has not yet been announced as of this writing. Other anime debuts for fall 2024 include the long-awaited Dragon Ball DAIMA, Netflix's Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance and Goodbye, Dragon Life.
Based on the ongoing manga series written by Mai Tanaka and serialised in the magazine Monthy GFantasy published by a subsidiary of Square Enix (best known for their video game business as the publisher of the iconic Final Fantasy series), A Terrified Teacher at Ghoul School! follows the new teacher Haruaki Abe as he begins teaching at a school where the students are all supernatural monsters who love nothing more than using their supernatural powers to prank their easily frightened teacher.

Yen Press, which publishes the English version of the original A Terrified Teacher at Ghoul School! manga, describes the series like this:
"Rookie teacher Haruaki Abe is as cowardly as they come. It's hard enough for him to handle human students without whimpering-and now he's going to be teaching at a school full of monsters?! It's a classroom of horrors for Haruaki, as his mischievous students use every means at their disposal to prank him! Will this poor teacher be able to get his group of ghouls under control, or is this class destined for failure?"Yen Press

In addition to the announcement that the anime adaptation will feature an opening theme titled "Ebizori Turn!" by Four Eight 48 and a closing theme titled "Boku-rashisa" by Yuika, the primary crew of the anime adaptation has been revealed. Katsumi Ono directs for anime studio Satelight (the first 175 episodes of Fairy Tail, Bodacious Space Pirates, Helck). Deko Akao is the main writer. Natsuki is the character designer. Takahiro Inafuku provides the series's musical score.
Before the debut of A Terrified Teacher at Ghoul School! and other fall 2024 anime series, fans of horror-themed supernatural comedy may want to check out Mieruko-chan. Based on a webcomic, Mieruko-chan follows Miko Yotsuya as she suddenly develops the ability to see ghosts and spirits. Her solution to constantly coming face-to-face with horrifying ghosts is to ignore the problem and frantically pretend they're simply not there, providing the bulk of the series's humor. Despite being a comedy series, Mieruko features genuinely creepy ghost designs and legitimately scary moments, along with heartwarming moments as Miko helps certain ghosts and their living family members find peace. Mieruko-chan is available to stream on Crunchyroll.
